Scorecard And KPIs

A Key Performance Indicator (KPI) is a visual cue that communicates the amount of progress made toward a goal.

A scorecard is a type of report that displays a collection of key performance indicators (KPIs) together with performance targets for each KPI.

Many consultancies including the Big-4 who implement of the Balanced Scorecard find they end up with too many performance metrics in the tangible parts of their scorecard, not enough performance metrics in less tangible parts of their scorecard, and altogether not measuring meaningful results.

Some of the Balanced Scorecard implementation problems (as illustrated by Stacey Barr, a Performance Measure Specialist)

Infion helped address are,

  • The Balanced Scorecard doesn’t put enough emphasis on results versus strategies.

  • The Balanced Scorecard doesn’t offer the steps to measure design.

  • The Balanced Scorecard doesn’t show the process of measure implementation
